Album 02 · Stella Polare
ASTRA
The intimate, released into the world.
The album
ASTRA
Stella Polare’s first album written entirely in French, Astra marks a shift into a new galaxy.
Here, the gaze turns inward rather than outward.
As always, each song begins with a personal emotion. An emotion sometimes too heavy to keep inside, sometimes too beautiful to leave unspoken. Writing becomes a release: a way of letting out what overflows, transforming what hurts, and giving shape to what overwhelms.
Written in French, the lyrics take the risk of intimacy. At times, they hit full force, without a filter, coming close to the point of indiscretion.
Some songs reveal a part of the soul with a candour that can be surprising.
Some are odes: to a person, a moment, a feeling, a joy.
Others are outlets: allowing anger, longing, doubt, sadness, desire, or whatever cannot always find its place elsewhere, to come to the surface.
But Astra does not reveal everything.
At times, the lyrics become more mysterious, more symbolic, deliberately leaving room for shadows.
An image, a sentence, a sensation may hint at a story without ever fully revealing its meaning.
Because not everything needs to be understood.
Some stories belong to the person telling them.
Some words have a context known only to their author. Understand it if you can.
What matters is what the song makes you feel.
Astra does not seek to explain emotions, but to transmit them.
To leave room for each listener to project their own story, memories, wounds or moments of happiness onto them.
Because a deeply personal emotion can, once transformed into music, become strangely universal.
Visual identity
ASTRA
The visual world of Astra seeks to give form to something that, by nature, has none: emotions.
Each song becomes an abstract composition in which shapes, lines, surfaces and, above all, colours translate the inner movements created by a feeling.
The aesthetic is built around simple geometry: squares, rectangles, lines and blocks of colour that are arranged, layered, contrasted or brought into balance. A distant influence of Mondrian can be sensed, but ASTRA quickly moves away from it: here, geometry is not about perfection or precision. It becomes an emotional language — freer, more organic, and entirely guided by colour.
Each emotion has its own colour palette.
A single colour can unfold into a multitude of shades, from the barely perceptible to the most intense, creating compositions that suggest the different depths of a feeling.
Joy can become luminous and expansive.Melancholy, muted and nuanced.Desire, warm and vibrant.Anger, dense and contrasted.Calm, almost monochromatic.
Nothing is represented literally.
The shapes do not tell a story: they translate what emotion creates within.
Each song therefore has its own emotional geometry — an abstract architecture made of colours, tensions, balances, ruptures and nuances.
ASTRA transforms the inner world into a visual language.
Emotions given form.Feelings turned into colour.Intimacy transformed into abstraction.
The tracks of this album will land here soon.
