Album 01 · Stella Polare
FRACTAL
Fragments of a life, because sometimes, the smallest fragment contains the whole.
The album
FRACTAL
FRACTAL is the very first album in the Stella Polare series.
It was born from texts written years ago, rediscovered, reread and transformed into songs.
Fragments from another time, kept somewhere in the drawers of memory, finding a new life through music.
Each song is a fragment. Each fragment carries an emotion. And each emotion belongs to a specific moment in time.
Together, these fragments form something larger: the shifting portrait of a life moving forward.
Pieces of memory, hope, loss and rebirth.
These texts tell stories about things that truly existed.
Happy or painful memories. Hopes. Certainties. Doubts. Wounds.
The album travels through very different territories: a declaration of hope, an affirmation of well-being, a manifesto about time and life, the loss of someone dear, the certainty that happiness will eventually return.
But also darker places: no longer wanting to live, questioning appearances, what we show to others and what lies beneath.
FRACTAL is a collection of personal confessions, sometimes luminous, sometimes fragile, sometimes frankly uncomfortable.
The lyrics are in English.
This choice is deliberate. English creates a certain distance, a discreet veil between the intimate and the listener. It makes it possible to say deeply personal things without feeling as though they are being fully exposed.
As if some truths were easier to lay down in another language.
Visual identity
FRACTAL
As its name suggests, FRACTAL fully embraces the world of fractals.
Complex and fascinating geometric forms built around the repetition of the same pattern at different scales, creating the impression of shapes that can be explored endlessly, without ever reaching their true limits.
The album’s aesthetic is abstract, hypnotic and instantly recognisable.
Spirals, branching patterns, symmetry, repetition and shifts in scale create a visual language in which forms seem to unfold without end.
The fractal thus becomes a natural metaphor for the project: a fragment that contains the whole.
Like the texts written at different moments in life, each song is an autonomous fragment, yet carries within it a piece of the larger story.
A universe where detail becomes landscape, where the fragment reveals the whole, and every shape seems to open onto infinity.
