Album 07 · Stella Polare
MOSAIC
Fragments of love, death, life and everything in between.
The album
MOSAIC
With Mosaic, Stella Polare slows down.
A quieter, more restrained and introspective album, stepping outside the rhythm of everyday life, into that space that appears when we stop running, doing, answering and thinking about what comes next.
When everything stops, what remains?
The songs came naturally.
Without a real plan, without trying to build an album around a specific concept.
They appeared one after another, like fragments gradually finding their place.
And these fragments speak of what remains when the noise fades away:
love, death, the world, life. The big things. The unanswered questions. The emotions that silence sometimes allows us to see differently.
Mosaic moves between two degrees of intimacy: French and English.
With this album, the author allows herself to go further.
The confessions become more direct, more personal, sometimes more vulnerable.
French comes naturally when the words need to feel close, natural, almost immediate.
English steps in when the writing ventures further into the intimate.
A way of revealing more while still keeping the possibility of hiding a little behind another language.
Like a mosaic made of pieces with different levels of transparency: some let you see everything, others filter the light.
The songs are different, sometimes contrasting, but ultimately come together to form a coherent whole.
A fragmented portrait of what remains when we finally take the time to look.
Visual identity
MOSAIC
The visual world of MOSAIC naturally draws from the idea of a mosaic, but chooses to look at it from very close up.
The images become macro compositions, where glass, matter, pigments, textures and light transform into abstract landscapes.
At this scale, shapes lose their original purpose. They become matter, colour, transparency and light.
The fragments are varied, sometimes irregular, never perfectly identical.
Some are translucent, others opaque.
Some capture the light, while others diffuse or distort it.
The richness lies precisely in this diversity.
Each image can therefore be viewed in two ways: as a complete composition or as a collection of details.
The colours are vivid, deep and varied, with layers of transparency, reflections and overlaps that give the visuals an almost tactile quality.
The whole remains coherent without seeking uniformity.
Every fragment is different. It is their coexistence that creates the image.
An aesthetic that echoes the album itself: different voices, different languages, different emotions, different degrees of intimacy…
From a distance, a composition.Up close, a world of fragments.
The tracks of this album will land here soon.
