Album 03 · Stella Polare
DNA
Two languages. Two worlds. One bond.
The album
DNA
DNA is a six-track mini-album inspired by one person: my love.
A short, deliberately focused album: six songs, each a different way of loving without always saying the same words.
After the broader and more introspective explorations of the previous albums, Stella Polare moves here into a much more specific territory: that of romantic connection. Six songs about what brings us together, what sometimes eludes us, what can be said easily, and what remains suspended between two people.
The happiness of being together. Complicity. Seduction. Desire. Waiting. And those moments when, despite the connection, words are no longer quite enough.
Because loving someone does not always mean understanding each other perfectly. There are silences, misunderstandings, differences in sensitivity, and things we would like to say but do not always know how to put into words.
For this album, language becomes an additional dimension of the story. French and Italian naturally coexist, each bringing its own musicality, its own colour, and its own way of making emotions resonate.
The choice of Italian is also a way of speaking more directly to the person who inspired these songs, allowing him to hear certain nuances in a language that feels more familiar to him.
The two languages coexist, respond to one another, and complement each other, each offering a different way of saying the same things.
DNA is therefore an album about what flows between two people: words, emotions, glances, silences …and everything that doesn’t need to be translated.
Visual identity
DNA
A bond that intertwines.
The visual identity of DNA is built around a simple idea: two distinct elements that meet, cross paths, and ultimately form something new.
The starting point is the intertwined strands of DNA, but here the idea is translated in a tactile and organic way through an exploration of materials.
Fabrics, fibres, knits, threads, raw or delicate materials: each element has its own texture, its own relief, its own way of catching the light.
The materials are never completely merged into one another. They remain recognisable, with their differences in grain, density, softness or transparency.
They cross. They overlap. They coil around one another. They intertwine. They slip beneath one another.
The fibres thus become the album’s graphic lines, while the different textures create an almost tactile sense of depth.
Colour also plays an essential role: colours can echo one another, blend together or create contrasts, like two worlds that each retain their own identity while creating something together.
Nothing is perfectly smooth or perfectly symmetrical. Folds, tensions, irregularities and intersections give the compositions their organic quality.
The result is a sensual, tactile and deeply human visual world, where material becomes a metaphor for connection.
Interwoven textures coming together to form a single image.
